Before you schedule an appointment, use these simple methods to quickly verify your coverage and confirm that a dentist accepts your insurance.
When looking at your insurance card, it is very important to see whether your plan is a PPO or an HMO. At HQ Temple Dentist, we only accept PPO plans, and we do not accept any HMO dental plans at all. This is an important step when trying to confirm if a dentist accepts your insurance
It is also vital to know that there is a distinct difference between your medical plan and your dental plan. If you have a medical HMO plan, it does not automatically mean your dental plan is an HMO too. You might very well have a medical HMO but still have a separate dental PPO plan that we gladly accept.
Here is what you need to know about the two types of dental coverage:
We welcome many federal employees and retirees who carry Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) FED dental plans. If you have this specific coverage, there is an extra step required by your insurance company.
BCBS FED rules strictly require our office to submit your dental claims to your medical insurance first before they will allow them to be processed through your dental insurance. If you are checking whether a dentist accepts your insurance, please be sure to bring both your medical insurance card and your dental insurance card to your appointment so Claudia and Amber can get everything filed correctly for you.
For our local veterans who served our country, we are honored to have you in our practice. If you carry a veteran dental network plan through Delta Dental, please let us know! If you are trying to find out whether a dentist accepts your insurance, we accept some plans from the Delta veteran plan program. When you call, simply read the network details on your Delta card to Claudia or Amber, and they will verify your specific veteran benefits right away.
Whether you are figuring out your PPO insurance or looking for an affordable cash option, the most important step is finding a dental office that truly understands your unique physical needs and whether a dentist accepts your insurance.
We know that coming to the dentist can feel overwhelming, especially if you face daily mobility challenges or chronic pain. We have intentionally designed our practice to be a safe, welcoming, and completely stress-free environment for retirees, veterans, and individuals with disabilities:
Insurance paperwork can look like a totally different language. If you live in Temple, Belton, or the surrounding communities, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Ready to find out if your PPO dental plan is covered? Call HQ Temple Dentist today at (254) 773-1672 and ask for Claudia or Amber. Be sure to mention our $55 Exam and X-ray promotion to schedule your stress-free appointment today!
