1. For most babies, the first tooth erupts between 6 and 12 months of age

Of the 20 baby teeth, the front teeth appear first, with the molars erupting last. However, the tooth that appears first is also the first one to fall because of the dissolution of its roots, so that permanent teeth can take their place. Around the age of 5, this replacement process begins and ends by the ages of 12 to 14.
4- Teething can lead to discomfort:
Fussiness, swollen gums, and drooling are some of the symptoms babies experience while baby first tooth is coming in. These symptoms can be managed with a teething ring or a clean, damp cloth chilled in the refrigerator. A gentle massage of the gums can also provide relief for babies. However, dentists usually do not advise using numbing gels as a home remedy.
5. Bottles and thumb sucking habits can be harmful to the baby:
Many children without dental issues use bottles for nourishment. But it is important to remember that tooth decay can occur even before the teeth appear due to excessive consumption of sugary drinks. Not only formula milk, but breast milk can also cause plaque to develop. It is therefore recommended to use sterile gauze to wipe your baby’s mouth after every bottle feed.
There are a few concerns associated with the use of thumb sucking or pacifier sucking. Although kids commonly find the sucking action very comforting. But it can affect their normal tooth alignment and cause bite problems if continued after the eruption of the permanent teeth.
